The Japanese label is launching a direct-to-consumer brand

 Experimental, cutting-edge designer label Comme De Garçons has announced that it will be launching a new brand this July. Dover Street Market director and Comme De Garçons Chief Executive Adrian Joffe confirmed that the new brand was on its way at the opening party for Dover Street Market’s first store in China. Whilst details are being kept tightly under wraps Joffe revealed that ‘it’s going to be Internet based’ and that the website is currently being designed by Creative Director Rei Kawakubo.

This new brand is set to be the eighteenth offshoot in the Comme De Garçons’ portfolio, which also includes other labels such as Play, Homme, Plus and Shirt. Expect to see wearable versions of the catwalk creations.
