The quirky designer drops a bag collection for the high street retailer

We can’t get enough of designer x high street collaborations and the Henry Holland for Primark bag collection is no different. Featuring typical House of Holland prints such as polka dots, stripes and slogans (and even a cat in curlers) each tote bag is made from 100% sustainable cotton.

“We wanted to create something that worked for the Primark customer and was infused with the Henry Holland DNA,” said the 34-year-old designer in a statement. “Colour, print and slogans were key, and ensuring the bags were made in an ethical way were high priorities for both myself and Primark.”

Sales from the bags will go towards supporting emerging designers with £1.32 from sales going towards supporting Graduate Fashion Week, the annual showcase of BA fashion design talent for which Henry Holland is an ambassador.

“I’m so excited about creating something so accessible that is raising funds for something I passionately believe in,” Holland added.

Holland first came into prominence in 2006 with his statement slogan tees that featured captions such as ‘I’ll Tell You Who’s Boss Kate Moss’ and ‘Get Your Freak On Giles Deacon’. His cult celebrity following ranges from perennial muse Alexa Chung, through to pop stars such as Miley Cyrus and Rihanna.

Make sure to get your bag when they drop in Primark stores this week.
