Take a look at the designer’s new vision for the British fashion house

Since Riccardo Tisci replaced Christopher Bailey at the helm of Burberry as chief creative officer back in March, there has been much speculation as to what plans Tisci has for the heritage fashion house. Now, his first ‘B Classic’ collection has been revealed via Instagram, in a curated edit that honors the icons of the house.

Whilst the pieces pictured were not designed by Tisci himself (they were created by the brand’s in-house design team), Tisci has put together a moodboard of some of Burberry’s most acclaimed and iconic designs, taken from the pre-spring/summer 2019 collection.

"I wanted to celebrate the beauty, heritage and legacy that I discovered when I first arrived at Burberry," he said. "‘B Classic' is an edit that I've curated to honour the icons of the House – pieces like the trench coat, the quilted jacket, the car coat, the kilt – which sits at the heart of the SS19 pre collection designed by the fantastic Burberry design team." – Riccardo Tisci.

This edit pays homage to the brand's heritage and the pieces that Burberry is most well-known for including the covetable trench coat and the classic heritage check print, as well as kilts and quilted outerwear.

Tisci will present his first collection for the brand in September.
